This family lived in Los Angeles in the 1950's.
Graduated from Stanford University - first class!
Roys Nelson Strohn, a Captain, left the United States on September 6, 1917 with Stanley Field of Chicago and a group of ten men to take over the direction of the American Red Cross activities in Europe since America had entered the war the
previous April. Captain Strohn was first in charge of the American Red Cross program in Paris, then in London, and finally of the combined operations. He returned to this country on leave in July of 1918, and the Armistice was signed the following
