WOW! What a valuable service you provide for those doing genealogy research
for Westfield, NJ! Unfortunately, my ancestors were born in Elizabeth, NJ (Union
County). Since you are such an "expert" at genealogy and I'm a "newbie", could
you by chance give me any pointers on how to obtain ACCURATE records??? I am
not even sure of the birth year of y great-great grandfather - I thought it
was 1877, but "1878" is entered on his funeral record! To make matters more
complicated, the family went to California in 1885 and the surname "Kernaghan"
ended there. The only son (my great-grandfather) robbed his father's bank and
ran to Canada to escape the law - and changed his last name. Oh boy! Any pointers
you can give would be greatly appreciated by this Cannuck!

John was the brother of Noah and Parkhurst Cory...but the latest edition of
Corys of America says that John, son of John and Phebe Parkhurst Cory married
a Patty Davis. Also, Susannah Lyon's mother was Joanna Clarke. This families
are so hard to separate. My John and Susannah Cory went to PA and then down

Families that you are researching:: grant
Comments:
Hi, I am interested in researching my mother Susan Grant's family who lived
in Westfield until the early 70's. (Clifton and Alice Grant). My mother who
is deceased, graduated West field High School probably around 1959-60. I am
looking for any information a out her. Thanks!
