Mrs. Julia K. Ross Dies
Had Made Her Home Here Past Five Years With Her Daughter
Mrs. Julia Katherine Ross, 76 years old, died late Friday night at
the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ferd Bates, 459 North Missouri street.
She and her husband had made their home here the last five years as she
has been in ill health for sometime.
She was born Jan. 16, 1869, Pike County, MO, and lived most of her
life in Missouri and Iowa.
Surviving are the husband, William Ross, of the home; six sons,
Cecil Ross, Englewood, CO; Virgil Ross, 4546 Gibson St., St. Louis;
Willard Ross, 3642 Marvin St., Overland, MO; Vernon Ross, of Pittsburg,
CA; Merl Ross of Bend, OR; and Cpl. Forest Ross, Ft. Benning, GA, and two
daughters, Mrs. Ferd Bates of Liberty and Mrs. Marguerite Sullivan of
Moscow Mills, MO. Also one brother, Ed Spencer, Vandalia, MO, and
thirteen grandchildren.
Funeral services wil be held on Thurs., 6 Sep. at the Wellsville,
MO, Presbyterian church. Burial at the Farber, MO Cemetery.
The Liberty Advance, Liberty, Clay County, Missouri, Monday, 3 Sep.
1945.
