Notes for Leone Ruth ROSS


Mrs. Ruth Bates
Mrs. Ruth Bates, 77 , of 459 N. Missouri, Liberty, died Dec. 26 at a
hospital in Detroit. She had been visiting her son, Ferdinand Bates Jr.,
of Farmington, Mich. She was born in Farber, MO, and had lived in
Liberty 10 years.
Mrs. Bates was a retired registered nurse for the Clat Co. Health
Service. She was graduated from the Washington School of Nursing in St.
Louis.
Mrs. Bates was active in the Clay Co. Chapter of the Red Cross. She
was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church. She also leaves a
daughter, Mrs. Betty Barker, 419 N. Leonard, Liberty; four brothers; L M
Ross, Bend, OR; Willard, Bowling Green; and Virgil and Forest both of St.
Louis; a sister, Mrs. Marguerite Sullivan, Princeville, Ill., and five
grandch.
Services were at 11 am Sat. at the church; burial was in Fairview
Cemetery here.
