Oris Ross
Oris Vernon Ross, 62-year-old Pittsburg resident, died at Pittsburg
Community Hospital at 1:10 p.m., Thursday after being in failing health
for about one year.
The retired Pacific Gas and Electric service man was a member of the
Pittsburg Methodist Church. He was in the PG & E employ for 34 years at
the Pittsburg branch.
Survivors include his widow, Lora, who teaches at the Village
Elementary School here; ughter, Mrs. Anthony (Aileen) Bruno of Pittsburg;
two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bates of Liberty, Mo., and Mrs. John Sullivan of
Princeville, Ill.; and four brothers, Virgil and Forest, both of St.
Louis, Mo.; Willard of Eolia, Mo., and Merl of Bend, Ore.
Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Caruso Funeral
Home with the Rev. B. L. Travellstad, pastor of Pittsburg Methodist
Church, officiating.
Visitation is scheduled at Caruso Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today.
Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery, Pleasant Hill.
Contributions in lieu of flowers preferred to cancer or your
favorite charity.
