Notes for Lee Wayne REINHART

Lee Reinhart graduated from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.
From the Antelope Valley Press, newspaper for Feb. 20, 1972, section 1,
page 2, col. 7.
Lee Reinhart Named Manager at Penney's
From football coach to store manager tells the story of Lee Reinhart, new
manager of J. C. Penney's Store in Lancaster.
Lee hails to the Antelope Valley from Fairfield, which is Travis Air
Force Base, and located near the Bay Area. He is pleased with his
assignment to the desert area, he said, as he spent six years in Phoenix
prior to being assigned to Fairfield and enjoyed the desert very much.
He and his wife, Annette, are the proud parents of four children.
The oldest of the four children is a student in Northern Arizona at the
University of Flagstaff, and the youngest is an eighth grader. Lee's
family will be joining him at the end of the school year.
Originally from Oregon, Lee started his career with the J. C.
Penney's stores in Prineville, Oregon. On June 6, he will be celebrating
20 years of service with the company.
Sports play an important part in Lee Reinhart's life as he attended
Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore., on a football scholarship. He
was a football coach prior to going into the department store management
career. Lee disclosed that he was privileged to have played under the
famous Dr. Paul Stagg.
The Reinharts are avid sports enthusiasts and they especially enjoy
water and snow skiing. Lee's wife teaches music twice a week in
Fairfield and they both enjoy music. In Fairfield, they organized the
fine arts council and enjoyed working on community projects. I got more
out of music in college than I did football, said Lee. The Reinhart
family, with their enthusiasm and fondness of community involvement, will
be a great asset to the growing community and the Antelope Valley.
