Notes for Lorraine TRANTHAM


From the Barnesville newspaper, we have the following:
Lorraine Trantham William Antil Are Wed August 23
Breckenridge Methodist church was the scene of a quiet wedding
Thursday, August 23, when Miss Lorraine Trantham of Barnesville became
the bride of William Antil in a single ring ceremony.
Rev. Roy M. Harris performed the rites.
The bride, daugter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Trantham of Barnesville, wore
a ballerina-length gown of white frosted nylon with gold floral design.
Her accessories were also white and she carried a corsage of red and
white roses. She wore a gold wristwatch, gift from the groom.
Miss Helen Trantham attended her sister. She was attired in aqua
knit nylon with red accessories.
A friend of the family, John Houghland, attended the groom. His bow
tie was a gift from the groom.
Mrs. Antil is a 1945 graduate of Rothsay high school. Since
graduation she has been working at home, assisting during yhr illness of
both parents.
The bridegroom is employed by the Great Northern Railway as
conductor on the Winnipeg Limited.
The newlyweds took no wedding trip due to the illness and sudden
death of the bride's mother. They reside in a trailer home beside the
Trantham residence.
