Notes for James CLARK

James Clark was born on the old Ephraim Clark homestead on the Springfield
Road at Mountainside. He went West when a young man and engaged in the
leather business at St. Louis. He came back to New Jersey in 1853 and lived
in Plainfield the reminder of his life. At his death he was reputed to be the
richest man in Plainfield.
