Notes for Henry STANBERY

Henry Stanbery was born in New York City; removed with his father to
Ohio and lived in Zanesville and Columbus and finally at Cincinnati.
He was a very able lawyer; became Attorney General of Ohio in 1846 and
Attorney General of the United States in 1866. He died in New York
City. Married 1st Frances, daughter of Hon. Philemon Beecher; married
2nd Cecelia, daughter of William K. Bond.
