Notes for Edward Coursen WOODRUFF


Edward Coursen Woodruff studied medicine but gave it up to enlist in
the Civil War. He fought at Bull Run, Chancellorville and Gettysburg
being wounded in the latter. Continued his military service in the
Regular Army after the War and was retired at his own request May 4,
1892 after 30 years service. He died at Glen Ridge, NJ. Married 1st
Helen Chapman; married 2nd Elizabeth Mills.
