Notes for Elizabeth BOWEN

This wife added from Hatfield MSS (Ogden Genealogy) at NY Historical Society. She was from Pawtuxet at the time of her marriage to Mr. Clarke. Her father
was known as Colonel Ephraim Bowen of Providence. She enrolled in the Moravian Female Seminary in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1802.
She and Mr.Clarke's marriage was reported in the Rhode Island American of 17 May 1811 "John H., Esq., of this town, and Elizabeth Bowen, eldest dtr of Co.
Ephraim, of Warwick, at Suffield, CT."]
Her death was reported in several papers - "Elizabeth, wife of John H., Esq., aged 39 yrs, 3 Jul 1827"
