Of Huntsville, Alabama. When married possibly of Mississippi Territory. In Huntsville by 1809 when he attended land sale there....see State of Alabama archives website.

Formerly of Petersburg, GA - bought land in Twickenham [Huntsville, AL] in 1809.. Entertained Andrew Jackson at his home Popular Grove Plantation. The mansion. erected in 1814 eventually went to William H. Pope. Leroy's son. It was one of the first brick buildings in Alabama.

Apparently bought lots 35, 36, 39, & 40 in 1817 at a sale of lots in Huntsville.
