Notes for Sarah Clark MEEKS

#email 3/17/04
#I was quite interested in your website which shows Sarah C. Meeks as the d/o Joseph Meeks and Sarah Clark Van Dyk. My husband's ggg-grandmother was a Sarah Clark Meeks who married (1) John Kidney #Van Houten in Aug. 1820 and (2) Noah King after the death of JK Van Houten in 1832 and 1840 in New Jersey. Any chance this is the same person? She had three sons and a daughter by Noah King: #Joseph, Noah, William Henry and Sarah C. King. She is listed in the 1860 census on Long Island, NY, then in 1870 she is living with her son William Henry King and his wife in Georgia. Family "lore" says she #was married perhaps three times, but I don't see how she managed the third one unless it was an "aged" union. Sarah is listed as 66 years old in 1870 which would place her DOB in the area of your Sarah C. #Meeks brothers and sisters. I have not found her burial place or if she married after Noah King; just the listing in 1870.
#I would be interested in comparing notes with you if you think this is possibly the same person.
