Woodruff Chronicles II, page 194:
Robert Wooley, first of Fairfield, Mass., and from 1653 to 1683 of
Southampton, L. Island, was the son of Robert Wooley and Teckla Pemberton, his
wife, of Hertfordshire, England. Their son was baptized at St. Albans, Aug.
2, 1615, and immigrated to this country in 1639 and was the Immigrant Ancestor
of the Wooleys of Springfield, Essex Co., (now Union), New Jersey. . . He
married Anne Woodruff. Their son, Robert, became an Elizabeth Town Associated
and in 1699 drew a "Westfields" lot.
