Was Private in Capt. Cornelius Conklin's Company in East Hampton, in 1715.
Howell, Hist. Southamption, says "The first of the name of this family on
Long Island was William Edwards, who came to East Hampton from Lynn with his
wife in 1653. The East Hampton branches have not been carried out in this
record, but will be (D.V.) in a later work." pg. 238.
