1814, July ». Baker, Daniel, of Westfield Twsp., Essex Co.; will of.
Wife, Margaret, use of all residue of personal estate until youngest
daughter is 18, and use of all real estate for maintenance of children
who are under age. If wife should marry again, Executors to take
charge of estate and maintain said children as abovesaid. Having
advanced property to four married daughters, Mary D. Camp, Phebe
Marsh, Margaret Brittain and Betsey Britton, I now give to each $5.
Sons, David, Daniel, Hedges, Cyrus, Henry and Elihu, all lands sub-
ject to dower right of my wife, and legacies to daughters. Daughter.
Prudence Baker, $100 when 21, to be paid by son, David. Daughter,
Hannah Baker, $100 when 21. Real estate to be charged with said
legacies. Son, Hedges, the bay mare provided he discharge the $32
due on her; also my 8-day clock (his mother to have use of same
during widowhood). Executor — brother, William Baker, son-in-law,
Abraham Brittain. Witnesses — Elizabeth Ross, Samiiel Y. Clark,
Charles Clark. Proved Aug. 11, 1814.
