Here is a partial answer. Although This can't be the same Cyrus who served in the civil war. Job Squier was a son of Jonathan Squier & Hannah (Crane). This changes the known children of Jonathan & could Cyrus be short for a common name found
in the descendants of Jonathan Squier & Lydia Camp? "Cyrenius"
