I have Cyrus b 1818 as the son of Benjamin b 6 Feb 1772 Westfield & Phebe Burt b 1772 Mendham but no proof. I think it came from Harmon Clark years ago. [Bill J.]

Ok the dates work but how do they fit. Being part of the Barbour collection is from Ct.
I have other Cyrus's that seem to fit but the wife changed.

Here is a partial answer. Although This can't be the same Cyrus who served in the civil war. Job Squier was a son of Jonathan Squier & Hannah (Crane). This changes the known children of Jonathan & could Cyrus be short for a common name found
in the descendants of Jonathan Squier & Lydia Camp? "Cyrenius"
