A review of the documents at the NJ State Archives [Docket 11101G] shows that the inventory of estate of Samuel Clark "of the Township of Rahway" was performed 20 April 1817 by John Marsh Clark and John Roberson. Abigail Clark's affirmation of the
inventory of her husband's estate [with an "X"] was dated April 20th, 1818.
See inventory for Samuel Clark 1818 - 11101G, Essex Co., NJ
Taken 12 April 1817. It included household goods and furniture, wagons and
various animals. John Marsh Clark and John Roberson signed the inventory.
On 20 April 1818 wife Abigail Clark, "executrix" of his estate,
signed the inventory with an "X". Oddly, there doesn't seem to be a will on
file for Mr. Clark.
