C.C. Gardner, page 127; shows name as Alanson, as does
Commemorative Hist. of Presbyterian Church in Westfield, N.J. (McKinney),
Baptisms page 402, "Clark, Alanson, c. Mr. & Mrs. Henry Sept. 13, 1772".
Arthur Hayne Mitchell papers have his name as Allison. Subsequent Looker
family records and articles use name Allison for Looker family members.
Information from Virginia H. Korns states he was a founder of Clarksburg, Va.,
(now West Virginia). [Said to be relative of George Rogers Clark].

murdered.
