Notes for Abraham CLARK

C.C.Gardner, page 85: "Abraham 4 Clark, son of Henry 3 Clark, was born at Westfield about 1730. He was married to Sarah, daughter of John Badgley of Essex Co., whose will, dated 1759, names son-in-law 'Abraham Clark the third.' He was so
called to distinguish him from Abraham Clark 'Jr.' (the Signer), and Captain Abraham Clark (the Signer's Uncle). Abraham Clark had two children baptized at Westfield after 1759, when the records begin. J.C. Cox, (whose information, however, is not
especially reliable) writing to the Newark News July 20, 1907, says that this man moved to Virginia, and had son Henry born 1752, who moved to Dayton, Ohio, in 1810."
