Graduated from Amherst in 1853; studied theology at Rochester Seminary and was ordained 31 Oct 1855. Pastor of Baptist Church at New Market, N.J.; then in 1859 became Pastor of First Baptist Church at Elizabeth, N.J. In 1880 became missionary of
American Baptist publication society.
