Notes for John Baker CLARK

John Baker Clark, son of Jesse 4 and Charity (Scudder) Clark, was born at
Wf. 1764 and bapt. Oct. 11, 1766. He was married at Wf. Feb. 7, 1788 to
Rebecca, daughter of Thomas and Rebecca (Merry) Woodruff, who was born about
1765. They had several children baptized at Westfield, but owing to the fact
their father was referred to simply as "John Clark" it is hard to pick out
the children of John B. Clark. Mr. Clark died April 15, 1804, leaving no will,
and his widow died Jan. 29, 1817. Both are buried at Westfield. The will of Jesse 4 Clark, names his son John's children Thomas W., Edward and John. [C.C. Gardner Collections, vol. 29 -- see Under Richard Clarke (13)].
