Notes for Joanna OGDEN

Desc. of Deacon Samuel Potter, Helen Potter Alleman (1975), page 12.
The will of Joseph Ogden of Essex Co., N.J. dated Apr. 22, 1761, identified
the wife of Amos Potter as Mary Meeker, daughter of Johannah Ogden, deceased,
and John Meeker. Johannah Ogden was a sister of Joseph, and since he died
childless, he included her children in his will. [This is doubtful....there
was no Joseph mentioned in Samuel Ogden's will of 1714]
