Notes for Stephanus CLARK

Correspondence from C. Pauline Clark, 6718 Brookhaven Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46226, dated July 19, 1996, writes: I believe my g. g. grandfather, Stephanes Clark, son of Rev. Daniel and g. son of Daniel (a lawyer) was born in Essex Co., N.J. in
1777. The family moved first to PA (1781-1790) then to Warren Co. OH in 1797. From 1790 to 1797 were in Hamilton Co., OH. He married Phebe Hole, b. 1787 N.J. in Warren Co. in 1803. . . . I have "lost" Stephanes after 1812-1814. He is believed
to have lived until 1867 and in his younger years was a merchant seaman. . . . Phebe and children lived in Washington Co., IN from 1822-1831 and one son was there into the 1860's. He was Ephraim.
