Mrs. Martha Sears, who was making her home with Mrs. David Devins, 6 miles west of here, died at 4 o'clock yesterday morning, aged 70 years or more. Her husband, Daniel Sears, died some 6 or 8 years ago. The deceased had been a resident of this
township all her life and was well respected by everyone. For a number of years she had been in poor health and feeble mind. The immediate cause of her death was a stroke of paralysis. She leaves one brother and sister - John Clark of Clinton Township
and Mrs. Sam Betson of this township. Her funeral will occur today, after which her remains will be interred in the Vermillion Cemetery.
