Notes for Joshua MARSH

Joshua Marsh (3) [of John (2) and Elizabeth Clark pge 30, of Samuel (1)
Marsh], was born in Elizabeth Town, N.J. (Rahway section) 8/8/1690, died
September 21, 1744. He resided in Westfied, N.J., living at the corner of East
Broad St., and what is now Woodlawn Avenue, as did his son Joshua. He married
probably about 1713 Susanna Bunn and had five children. Joshua and wife are
now buried in the old burying ground at Elizabeth, N.J. -- from Marsh Family
Bulletin page 74. Note, most other sources give his wife as SUSANNA NOE, not
Susanna BUNN, as does the Marsh Family Bulletin., p. 75.

Will dated 20 Sept. 1744, Proved 20 Oct. 1744, N.J. Arch. Wife, Susanna.
Children - Joshua, Abraham (under age), Susanna Davis, Elizabeth Meeker, and
Sarah (wife of John Tooker). Grandson, Joshua Tooker. Enoch, second son of
brother Benjamin, deceased, when of age. Land given me by my father, June 3,
1726. Land bought of Philip Doldridge, May 8, 1731. A negro wench and her
child. Executors -- son, Joshua, and son-in-law, John Tucker. Witnesses --
John Denman, Benjamin Williams, John Cleverly.
