Of Wheatsheaf section of Rahway.
May have had son George W. Terrill, who married Hannah Riggs. Check SAR.
Member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rahway.
Need to verify DOD by checking tombstone.
Had a brother named Jacob Terrill, according to wife Mary Terrill's will.
His will reads: 1801, Sept. 25. Terrell, Amos, of the Borough of Elizabeth, Essex Co.; will of. Wife, Mary, residue of moveable estate; also use of fast estate, while my widow, to enable her to support and bring up my younger children. Eldest son,
Jehiel, $50; he having received a portion of my estate. Son, Lewis, the southwestermost part of home farm, beginning at westermost corner of my cow house thence parallel with partition line of land of Moses Wood, dec'd, thence north 1 chain to line of
John Wood's land, thence southwesterly with his line to line of said Moses Wood to the County road, thence northeasterly along said road so far as that, from thence northwesterly parallel to said Moses Wood's line to the westermost corner of said cow
house, during his life; then to be equally divided among his surviving children; should he die without surviving children, said land to my son, John Roberson Terrell. To my 3 daughters, Anna, Mary and Betsey, 10 acres of my farm beginning at southwest
corner of lands of Charles Hughs to runa westerly course to lands devised to son, Lewis, to be divided among them. Son, John Roberson Terrell, remainder of home farm. Said 2 youngest sons, Lewis and John Roberson Terrell, my undivided part of a lot of
salt meadow devised to me by my father, John Terrell, dec'd, to be divided between them. Granddaughter, Charlotte Terrell (daughter of son Jehiel), bond for 60 pounds against John Mulford, to be held in trust for her until 18 years. Executors--sons,
