Notes for Amos CLARK


Genealogical Collections, C.C.Gardner p.141.
While Amos is the only child of Job and Charity listed by Gardner, there is
no indication that there were not other children. He lived with his parents
in Union, Union Essex County, NJ in 1850.

One website states that he was born 26 April 1808, but no documentation is provided.

Amos appears to have died in Union, Union Co., NJ according to NJSA death records; need to verify.
Left will 1621T, filed and proved in Union County, New Jersey 11 November,
1879. He left an annunity of $700 annually to his wife, bequeathments to his
brother John M. Clark, and sister Charity B. Crane. Nephew Job C. Crane
executor. Dated 28 April 1877. Codicil added 5 September 1879.
