This may be a different Daniel Clark, who lived in the Orange, Essex Co., NJ area:
PAPERS OF DANIEL T. CLARK. In June, 1903, Mr. W.
E. Harrison, of Fort Madison, Iowa, wrote making inquiry
concerning the papers of Daniel Terrill Clark, deceased,
formerly of South Orange, New Jersey, at one time Assistant
Librarian of this Society. It was understood that Mr. Clark
had been collecting material for many years relating to the
History of Orange, and particularly of the Clark family. Mr.
Harrison wrote that he was a descendant of the old 'Harrison
family of New Jersey. It was understood that Mr. Clark's pa*
pers went to his nephew, Isaac Clark, who settled somewhere
near Chicago, and who was very reluctant to give any informa-
tion in relation to them. [Proceeding of the NJ Historical Society, 1906]
