Notes for Hampton Lewis CLARK

A Civil War soldier:
Battery B, New Jersey Light Artillery.
Perhaps 12th Independent Battery, New York Light Artillery as well.
Lived with brother Joseph Clark and family in Westfield, Union Co., NJ 1870.
At that time he was a clerk in his brother's grocery store. Oddly, he seems to have been in two places at once. He is also listed in the 1870 census of Rahway, living with his brother-in-law James H. Clark.
