"This is to certify that our son Clark is of full age and we are willing to the marriage that he now intends. Witness our names, this 22 day of November 1804". John Hatfield is the witness and Joseph and Anne Hatfield signed it.

Clark Hatfield - June 6, 1856 - In the vicinity of Lebanon, on Sunday last, Mr. Clark Hatfield, in the 75th year of his age. He was one of the early settlers of Warren County, having arrived at Deerfield, on the 4th of July 1800; and has ever since
been a resident of the county. He was a quiet, orderly, excellent citizen, and much esteemed by his friends and neighbors. [6 June 1856 Western Star obituary]
