The Noe family were of French Huguenot origin and had settled in Woodbridge,
N.J. before 1700. They moved from Woodbridge to Summit Township, where
Lewis Noe bought a farm from Thomas Darling.
Lived next door to his mother, New Providence, Essex Co., New Jersey in 1850.
