He was a physician in Uniontown, New Jersey for over 30 yrs. Surgeon in the War of 1812 from Aug. 17, 1812 to Sept. 25, 1812 in Major Isaac Andruss Infantry, N.J. Militia Fort Richmond, Staten Island, N.Y. Called up in a hurry until N.Y. Troops
arrived. Twin of Samuel. Son of Oliver Martin and Susanna Shotwell Marsh.
The Plainfield Constitutionalist Oct 15, 1839 Died. At Metuchen, on the 8th inst., Dr. William Martin, aged 55.
Cemetery has 7th.
