Quite a well-known patriot. Gilbert Stuart painted his portrait c. 1803.
Philadelphia merchant. May not have had issue.
Perhaps had a second wife Jane Hampton, dau. of Jonathan Hampton,
of Elizabethtown, whom he married 7 March 1792.
