Notes for Samuel CLARK

"The Clark-Dixon Family" (p.17), states that Samuel remained on Long
Island where he died.
The Boston Transcript provides another clue (16 May 1934, #3185):
"If any one reading knows the parentage of Samuel Clarke of Southold who in 1747 deeded property to sons Samuel, William and Joshua and who, according to Salmon died in 1755 aged eighty thus being born in 1675, such information would be appreciated." This, however, is the son of Samuel of the North Sea section of Southampton due to the calculated birth year (Samuel of Old Town was not married to Esther until 1678).
