Notes for Benjamin Trotter CLARK


Listing of children taken from Ross family, p. 145. Benjamin T. Clark was a
mason. On 20 June 1817 he took William Haddoc as his apprentice in Westfield
to "learn his art or mystery as a mason". William was forbidden to "play at
cards, dice or any other unlawful game" during his apprenticeship, nor
"frequent taverns or ale houses". Mr. Clark moved out west in 1823 and died
at Baraboo, Wisconsin according to Greaves. He may have died 18 October 1851.
