Notes for William CLARK, JR.

William Clark is in the 1860 census of Westfield, NJ with sisters Abigail and Elizabeth and children Louisa C. and Alfred V. Clark as well as Mary Clark,
age 40, but this could not be his second wife as she died in 1859. Mr. Clark was a justice of the peace of Westfield Township. He also organized a company
for the War of 1812. He attended the Presbyterian Church of Westfield, where he was a Deacon and Elder. He died of paralysis according to the 'Return of
Deaths' for Westfield.
Greaves states that he lived in the farm "now occupied by Daniel G. Fink", and that "he afterwards lived and died where David Marsh of Mountainside now lives next to the Mountainside Chapel."
