Notes for John TUCKER

Charles Clark II Bible record notes that he died by accidental drowning in
the Savannah River, at the same time as Cornelius Ludlow and Joseph White.
It is not certain that he is the son of Moses, but it is a good probability
as "History of Union and Middlesex Counties" p. 343, implies such.
1803 Sep 6 TUCKER, John of Westfield to Betsey COOPER of Westfield by Rev. Mr.
Randle Wednesday last at Plainfield" [Sentinel of Freedom -
Newark]. COOPER is incorrect....need to see original record.Or is this another John Tucker?

From Bob M. [6/2007]:
The Mariners Museum [Newport News, VA] answers queries about ship sinkings. While they
had nothing on the ferry sinking off Staten Island in 1795 they may
have some info on the Savannah sinking.
