"Pioneers of Old Hopewell With Sketches of Her Revolutionary Heroes", by Ralph Ede, p. 245:
Nehemiah the fifth son of Charles born about 1735 was twice married and had children nearly grown when he married Elizabeth Campbell April 15 1779 She was doubtless a sister of Phebe the wife of his brother Joseph He owned the old Sexton homestead in partnership with his brother Jared for several years and I think until the Major Ralph Hart farm at Marshall's Corner was sold in 1782 when he purchased it and lived there nearly forty years and was one of the prominent citizens of the community He died September 30 1819 aged 83 and his widow March 2 1828 aged 81 They are buried near the Presbyterian church at Pennington His will proved March 13 1819 names Mary the wife of Charles Welling of Pennington to whom he leaves $1,200 and the balance of his estate to his wife and son Joab who lived with him on the farm.
Joab married a daughter of Benjamin Clark who resided near the Ewing church at the time of the battle of Trenton and was a much respected citizen Joab was an ensign in Capt Andrew Phillips Co in 1811 and a Lieutenant in 1814 After his father's death he removed to the Lake Country of New York State.
