C.C.Gardner, page 49. "His will shows that he was a farmer in the 'Borough
of Elizabeth', which then included practically all of what is now Union
County. He probably lived at Rahway. His will, which names wife Mary and
eight children, was dated June 27, 1758 and probated March 12, 1759."
