Notes for Moses TUCKER


Moses was named after his grandfather. He possibly was the Moses Tucker who
lived in New York City on Amity Street in 1856 who sent a letter to Samuel Lee
of Westfield, New Jersey (on file). Married his cousin Anna Eliza
Tucker, daughter of John Tucker and Elizabeth Clark.

Buried in Tucker mausoleum in Rosedale Cemetery, Orange, New Jersey with wife and children.

This is the son of Gideon Tucker and his first wife Sarah Clark (see Hist. of Union and Middlesex Co., pg 343) He is listed in the 1860 census with an occupation of "insurance". In 1850 he had $30,000 in real estate in 1860 it was $100,000.
